
Dr.Seuss is a common author that many of us have probably read throughout our childhood. Dr.Seuss creates funny books for his readers, he also incorporates meaning in his books for the children to learn from.
This book is about Sam-I-Am trying to get the narrator to try green eggs and ham. The narrator has no interest in trying the green eggs and ham. Throughout the book he tries to get the narrator to try them different ways with different things and places. He tries to persuade him to eat them many different ways and at the end of the book he ends up eating the green eggs and ham and loved them.
This is a great representation of poetry. The whole book is based off of rhyming words. This is a great book for younger children, but also a fun book for older kids to read as well. Dr. Seuss also incorporates a lot of sight words for children so the book is great for young kids as well. There are also multiple activities you can do with your children based off of this book, such as having a read aloud with your class and serving green eggs and ham to the students.
