Counting Crocodiles There was an island called Sillabobble island where a money lived. There were only sour lemons to eat on this island, until one day she can see a banana tree. She knew she was never going to be able to get to that banana tree with out crossing through the Sillabobble sea where there were a lot of crocodiles... How will she get to the banana tree? This book is great for any classroom There are some challenging vocabulary in the book so you would want to make sure that your students are able to understand them if reading independently. This is a great book to read to your students and for you to count to 10 together. There are several activities you can include with this book to do with your students as well.

E.T.  The Extra-Terrestrial A character named Elliot went to go pay the pizza delivery man for a pizza when he heard something in a shed next to his house, he walks over thinking maybe it was a coyote. This "thing" rolled a ball to him then he knew it wasn't a coyote because coyote's don't roll balls to kids. Read more to see what is inside the shed and their adventure together.  This would be an age appropriate books for 2nd grade and up. Many children have seen the movie E.T, but this book has an extra twist to it. This would be great to have in your classroom library for students to explore different genres.

"I AM ROSA PARKS" This book is about the struggles that Rosa Parks has faced in he life. This book is a great representation of her life and the trials she has faced. This book also speaks for the others that were facing similar issues during this period of time. Rosa gets on the bus and is told she needs to get out of her seat and give it to another person because of her color. Rosa refuses to get up out of her seat and the actions she took have had a major impact on the future for her... This book is set up so that the reader will know which character is talking in a particular instance. t is set up in a comic book style. This makes it very easy for the reader to follow along and learn about Rosa Parks and her journey.  This book is great for any primary levels. This book will be easy for students to follow along and to also read independently and being able to understand the journey of her life.

      Many of you might remember reading this book as a child. At the beginning of this book the mother ducks eggs hatch. One of the other ducklings look very different from the others. All of the other ducks made fun of him for being so ugly. They constantly made fun of him and the other animals starting doing the same. The duck soon ran away and …. take a look at this book for yourself and see what happens once he runs away.      This book has a lot of difficult vocabulary so this would be for a second or third grader. The book has a lot of meaning and promotes children to not bully based on how someone might look or act. It focuses on how important it is that someone might not look or act like you, but they should still be your friend and you should not make fun of them.

Dr.Seuss is a common author that many of us have probably read throughout our childhood. Dr.Seuss creates funny books for his readers, he also incorporates meaning in his books for the children to learn from. This book is about Sam-I-Am trying to get the narrator to try green eggs and ham. The narrator has no interest in trying the green eggs and ham. Throughout the book he tries to get the narrator to try them different ways with different things and places. He tries to persuade him to eat them many different ways and at the end of the book he ends up eating the green eggs and ham and loved them. This is a great representation of poetry. The whole book is based off of rhyming words. This is a great book for younger children, but also a fun book for older kids to read as well. Dr. Seuss also incorporates a lot of sight words for children so the book is great for young kids as well. There are also multiple activities you can do with your children based off of ...
