      Many of you might remember reading this book as a child. At the beginning of this book the mother ducks eggs hatch. One of the other ducklings look very different from the others. All of the other ducks made fun of him for being so ugly. They constantly made fun of him and the other animals starting doing the same. The duck soon ran away and …. take a look at this book for yourself and see what happens once he runs away.      This book has a lot of difficult vocabulary so this would be for a second or third grader. The book has a lot of meaning and promotes children to not bully based on how someone might look or act. It focuses on how important it is that someone might not look or act like you, but they should still be your friend and you should not make fun of them.

Dr.Seuss is a common author that many of us have probably read throughout our childhood. Dr.Seuss creates funny books for his readers, he also incorporates meaning in his books for the children to learn from. This book is about Sam-I-Am trying to get the narrator to try green eggs and ham. The narrator has no interest in trying the green eggs and ham. Throughout the book he tries to get the narrator to try them different ways with different things and places. He tries to persuade him to eat them many different ways and at the end of the book he ends up eating the green eggs and ham and loved them. This is a great representation of poetry. The whole book is based off of rhyming words. This is a great book for younger children, but also a fun book for older kids to read as well.
